Welcome to Realms of Pugmire. It’s a fantasy game about evolved pets and other animals with a strong connection to humanity, with dogs as the central characters. These characters live in the ruins of our world, using tools, language, and ingenuity to build a new civilization in their image, with the kingdom of Pugmire acting as a center of dog civilization.

Many of these dogs strive to learn about Man (also known as “the Old Ones”). They deify humanity as examples all should strive to emulate. Other nations, such as the cats in the Monarchies of Mau, have different perspectives on what came before, but all species recognize there was a world before this one, even though it’s now populated with mysteries and dangers.

As the dogs explore the world, they create and invent many new things, but also use what they can salvage. Some have even learned how to use the strange artifacts left behind by the Old Ones — rare and unusual magic relics, spells, and enchantments. We might dimly recognize them as the results of some far-flung futuristic invention, but any sufficiently-advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.

Amazon Studios Secures First-of-its-Kind Rights to Warhammer 40,000, With Henry Cavill Set to Star and Executive Produce Global Franchise Project produced by Amazon Studios includes rights to a universe of Warhammer programming across multiple Amazon entertainment businesses

CULVER CITY, California—December 16, 2022—Amazon Studios today announced that it has secured global rights to Warhammer 40,000, based on the immensely popular intellectual property from Games Workshop (GAW) that has given rise to an immersive global hobby – Warhammer. The agreement encompasses rights to the universe across series, film, and more, and will sit alongside GAW’s activities as they continue to make the best miniatures in the world. This is the first deal of its kind for Amazon Studios for IP of this scale, and it allows the company to utilize the title across its entertainment businesses. Henry Cavill (Man of Steel, Mission: Impossible – Fallout) is set to star in and executive produce the Warhammer 40,000 franchise across all Amazon Studios productions.

Since launching nearly 40 years ago, the Warhammer universe has been constantly expanding through GAW’s miniatures, sourcebooks, tabletop games, animations, novels, a wealth of licensed material, and video games.

Warhammer 40,000 is set in the far future, where humanity stands at the edge of what might be its brightest future, or its darkest age. The threats to humankind’s empire are many — traitors driven by the fires of ambition, alien empires sworn to reclaim the stars, and the corruption of reality by malevolent gods.
